Grandpa has been bragging about how good his garden looks, so I decided to ride out to the farm with him and look at it. He does have a great garden, with onions, peas, potatoes, corn, beans squash and a few beets and carrots, but not a weed in sight. He is really fussy about keeping the weeds out of it. The peas are in blossom and have some pods on them, so we won't have new peas and potatoes for the 4th of July, but we should have some in about a week or ten days. We invite any who wants to come and have some with us!!!!!!!!
I have been busy with my exercise class, it is a fit and fall proof class to build up your leg and thigh and arm muscles so that you don't fall as easy. I think that it has helped me. I have also been trying to organize and take inventory of what we have in our food storage because the church has really been stressing that lately. So we try to keep busy and our of trouble, ha, ha that is a joke cause we can't move fast enough to get into much trouble. Love to all.

Way to go on the garden Grandpa. I am jealous. Remember when I was at school there and you would share your delicious wealth? My roommates were always so envious. My dad is coming out this fall to Texas and I am hoping he will build me some nice garden boxes that will provide a home to the future garden in my life. Happy 4th of July!
Ooooooh! I can almost taste the yummy goodness of your garden! I wish we were there to share with you! But I think we will have to wait till Duane is done with his Masters. So until then, I will have to imagine.
I too have been trying to get prepared! I finished up our 72 hour kits, but I am still trying to figure out how to carry all of the water. My next project is organizing and taking inventory of our existing food storage.
Anyway, we miss you guys! Love you lots!
That's what I want! But I'm a little intimidated by the idea. How about you just talk your grandson into moving up there and we can help with next years garden! Ya right. I do wish though sounds so nice up there.Tell Grandpa we need help maybe that'll inspire a trip to Cali,HA about as much a it will Aaron to move to Downey! Love YA keep pumping that iron!
That is so great that you are taking a exercise class. Go, Grandma!
I have been wanting a garden for years. We have plenty of room for one here. I unfortunetely have no idea how to start one. So, Grandpa, if you have any good tips, I would really appreciate them. Very impressive about having no weeds. My front yard is completely out of control so I commend you for keeping up with keeping it weed-free.
Lee is weeding our garden as I write this. We have been neglecting our garden this year. But thank goodness for a sprinkler system that has a zone that includes the garden. We got a late start, however, so nothing edible just yet.... we'll keep you posted!!
